How it plays

Game overview

Travel (optional)

Play one or more Travel cards to move your traveller pawn along connected routes on the map, and collect the energy cube on your destination.

Trade Energy (optional)

Use your character’s power once per turn to swap any number of cubes you have for the one type they specialize in (Artha, Karma, Gnana, or Bhakti). This lets you “tune” your energies toward the Journey cards you’re aiming to claim.

Collect Om Tokens

If your movement ends on a Jyotirlinga shrine that still holds an Om Token, you take it and advance on the Om Turn Track. This both feels like a sacred milestone and can improve your turn order for the next round.

Take 1 Main Action (required)

Choose one of two options:

Draw Travel Cards — Take 2 new Travel cards from the deck/market into your hand, readying future moves.
OR
Collect 1 Journey Card — If you’re at its region and can pay the required Energy cubes and Om Token cost, place the card on your Inner or Outer track and score its points immediately.

Creator story

I’m Jigar—a lifelong gamer, software engineer, and traveler who grew up criss-crossing India by train and bus. OM: The Journey started as a way to bottle memories of temple aartis, roadside chai, and mountain sunrises into a game box, and to blend them with the thoughtful modern board games I love.

I built OM: The Journey to create a welcoming, spiritual-but-approachable experience for friends, families, and yet-to-be-friends around the table.
